1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Polyglot Go ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

2. Description of Service

Polyglot Go is a peer-to-peer translation messaging application that enables users to communicate across language barriers using Bluetooth connectivity and real-time translation.

2.1 Core Features

Offline Bluetooth peer-to-peer messaging
Real-time translation via Google ML Kit
End-to-end encrypted communication
Local message history storage

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use Polyglot Go only for lawful purposes. You must NOT:

Violate any laws or regulations
Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
Send spam, malware, or malicious content
Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
Infringe intellectual property rights
Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or exploit the App
Use the App for commercial purposes without authorization

3.2 User Content

You are solely responsible for the messages you send. We do not monitor, moderate, or control user communications (that's the point of end-to-end encryption). However, you agree not to send content that:

Is illegal, harmful, or offensive
Contains hate speech, violence, or discrimination
Violates third-party rights
Contains sensitive personal information about others without consent

4. Privacy & Data

Your use of Polyglot Go is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

4.1 Data Ownership

You own all content you create
We don't claim any rights to your messages
All data is stored locally on your device

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Property

Polyglot Go, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

6. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

6.1 "AS IS" Service

Polyglot Go is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

Accuracy of translations
Uninterrupted or error-free service
Fitness for a particular purpose
Security against unauthorized access

6.2 Translation Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Translations are provided by Google ML Kit and may not be 100% accurate. Do not rely on Polyglot Go for:

Medical or legal advice
Emergency communications
Critical business transactions
Official documentation

6.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
Damages arising from user content or third-party services
Translation errors or misunderstandings

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.

6.4 Third-Party Services

Polyglot Go uses Google ML Kit for translation. We are not responsible for Google's services, availability, or accuracy.

7. Termination

7.1 By You

You can stop using Polyglot Go anytime by uninstalling the App.

7.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

Violate these Terms
Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
Abuse or harm other users

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be notified via the App or by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

9.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Serbia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

9.2 Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution: Contact us first to resolve disputes: office@app-polyglot.com
Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Serbia
Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action

9.3 Exceptions

Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations or unauthorized use.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

Your use of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any laws or third-party rights

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.

12. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.

14. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.

16.1 Apple App Store

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple
Apple has no responsibility for the App or these Terms
Apple is a third-party beneficiary and may enforce these Terms
In case of conflict, Apple's Terms of Service prevail

These Terms are between you and us, not Google
Google has no responsibility for the App or these Terms
In case of conflict, Google's Terms of Service prevail

Polyglot Go uses open-source software. A complete list of licenses is available in the App settings.
